we have had my bff shannon here all weekend. we don't get a ton of guests around here, partly because it is so expensive to fly in to gander. but since we are moving really soon, i encouraged shannon to make a trip here sooner than later. i knew she would be into some of the cool things central NL has to offer. i made a sort of itinerary (not my usual style), and we road tripped around, seeing as much as we could. i had the best time, and this weekend will be one i remember forever, especially since our lives are about to change so drastically in a month or so!
be warned, there will be tons of road trip and central newfoundland pics for the next week or so.
we headed to twillingate first. we stopped at the Beothuk Interpretation Centre in Boyd's Cove on the way. you walk 20 minutes or so into the forest and come to the statue and then to the actual site where the Beothuks lived. worth the stop, i think.
