stroll around cobb's pond

we took a walk around cobb's pond in our town on the weekend. we saw some sweet nature scenery. 

this mushroom looks fake. i think i might become a professional mushroom photographer

everything is so green and lush right now

 we got really caught up in trying to catch these little birds on film. i was wishing for one of those cameras that can take a bunch of photos in a row

 the blue jay was way too smart to eat from jon's hand. but the little grey birds were loving it.

 turned into quite the little nature walk.

peanut butter love

 i made these peanut butter cookies the other day. they were good, but not sweet at all. pretty plain.

 i added crushed peanuts to the recipe. i don't have a cookie sheet, so i use this thing that i think is supposed to be used to make traditional naan bread. maybe it's time to get a cookie sheet?

joey's lookout

 a few pics i snapped yesterday from joey's lookout on the trans canada highway on the way to glovertown

 worth stopping, i'd say. and they have a street meat cart, which seems soo out of place. there was also a truck selling pumpkins and apples out the back. rare sight around here.

we were heading to a coworker's place for a traditional newfoundland thanksgiving "jigs" dinner. it was soo good. lots of boiled veggies, salted beef, pudding made from peas. we are lucky they included us in their family supper.

3 years

it has been three years today since jon brought me this lamp. we had known each other long before that, but this lamp changed everything. so even though it is not the most attractive thing, i will always hold on to it.
